“When I told my trauma-specializing therapist that I couldn’t talk about some topics because I couldn’t breathe, I wasn’t exaggerating. I followed my therapist’s referral, not knowing how much positive change would be possible from biofeedback work. This became one of my best decisions of the year. Dr. Miller is thoughtful in her approach, highly observant and capable of clearly explaining the fascinating world of the nervous system. Her balance of in-session education and hands on practice, as well as exercises to complete at home, creates a clear path to greater health. Since working with Dr. Miller I have been complemented on my ability to remain calm in stressful situations. What truly matters for me is that the calm is through-and-through. This isn’t a surface level facade created for others. What I feel now is deep calm, clear focus, a knowledge that I can not only manage the day-to-day stresses of life, but that I now feel safe delving into long-difficult topics, able to discuss trauma without re-traumatizing myself in the process. Biofeedback work taught me just how deeply my breath guides my heart, and my heart leads my mind. I am so very grateful I took the time to work with Dr. Miller.“ - Kelly T.

"For the first time in 20 years, my blood pressure has come down because of the skills I learned in my sessions with Dr. Debbie, though I had been on medication for many years. This is important to me because of my family history of high blood pressure and heart disease.  Not only am I improving my blood pressure - I find myself moving through stressful situations in a much different way than before I began biofeedback training. I am now aware and conscious of how my body reacts to stress, and I am able to make changes in the moment." - Lori S.

“Biofeedback with Dr. Miller changed my life in a huge and very meaningful way which is hard to truly express. I’ve dealt with general anxiety and recurring panic attacks off and on for nearly 20 years. When I started working with Dr. Miller, I’d just started seeing a Cognitive Behavioral Therapist – something that works great for a lot of people, but that I could tell just wasn’t the right treatment for my particular set of issues. Medication had helped somewhat for acute situations, but just seemed to cover symptoms that would eventually return. I have always sensed a connection between my anxiety and my breathing. Panic attacks always started with “not being able to breathe” and quickly escalated to a perceived fight for my life. Biofeedback addressed the physiology associated with my anxiety, not just the cognitive aspects and triggers (which are also helpful to understand). Dr. Miller used visual tools that allowed me to see the link between the breathing habits I’d learned over time and my anxiety, and then showed me how to correct those habits. She showed me how I’d basically been hyperventilating almost constantly, putting myself in a near-constant state of anxiety and triggering panic attacks regularly. I essentially learned to breathe all over again, and was given a useful tool I can use for the rest of my life. When you find the solution to a problem you’ve dealt with for so long, it’s an incredible feeling. The answer seemed so simple, but I know I never would have found it without Dr. Miller’s thoughtful guidance and compassionate approach.” - Jake W.

"My work with Dr. Miller has led to greater self awareness, and I am able call upon the breathing techniques I learned in our sessions when I need them most (when I am feeling stressed or when I wake up in the middle of the night).  I also have been able to integrate these skills into my daily life - - often, I find myself using them without even trying." - Sara M.

"Having worked directly with Dr. Miller, I've had the privilege of seeing first-hand the benefit she provides her patients.  Dr. Miller consistently delivers results from an empathetic place, and her skill comes from being able to genuinely connect with people.  Her gift is the presence of mind, body, and spirit that enables her to meet her patients where they are.  She effectively and compassionately provides the necessary skills that empower people to reclaim their health and happiness.  I would recommend her to anyone ready to make a positive change in their lives."  - Dr. Emilie C.
